JoAnne Rodes
Executive Director

Upon graduating from college, JoAnne taught instrumental music in VA public schools and opened a music studio.  After the loss of both parents, JoAnne was introduced to CWM where she met with a loving peer counselor who walked with her through her grief and loss. Having benefitted greatly from a healing journey from depression and grief, JoAnne was led to open a CWM in her community so other hurting women could have the same opportunity to experience hope and healing. In 2001, she assisted in opening the Dubois County CWM in Huntingburg, IN. She served as the local CWM center director for 10 years. In 2012, she accepted the opportunity to serve at CWM HQ as the Director for Center Development in the US where she served for seven years, and in 2019 she was appointed as Executive Director (2019-present).

JoAnne shares, “CWM was the safe place God provided for me to fall apart and let Him put me back together again.  It was an answer to years of prayer for emotional and spiritual healing.  My desire is to see hurting women find the same hope and healing that only Jesus can provide, to experience His unconditional love and find meaning and purpose for their lives  .”

In her free time, JoAnne enjoys camping with her husband, Jerry, reading, gardening and sharing time with her 2 grandchildren.
